Hi, I’m Rachel

I'm an ISSA certified Personal Trainer based in Sea Point, Cape Town. Burpees & Carrots training focuses on building overall strength accompanied with nutritional guidance to achieve optimal results. No matter your fitness goal (weight loss, strength or general fitness), I aim to provide:

  • safe, suitable & specific programs

  • motivation, education & support

  • & above all, results.

I also do Senior Fitness programs (ages 55 - 75 +) that focus on building up stability (better balance) , mobility (for joints and general movement) & strength (improve overall function and quality of life).

MY SERVICES:

I offer one-on-one training sessions to clients all over the Atlantic Seaboard, however I’m based at First Principles Gym in Sea Point.

WHY STRENGTH TRAINING?

If you haven’t tried strength training, now is the time to start. Strength training provides numerous health benefits. Aside from building muscle strength and helping with weight loss, it also promotes better mobility, lowers your risk of injuries, and enhances your quality of life by improving your ability to do everyday activities. Whether you’re new or experienced, young or old, strength training is for everyone.

FOOD IS FUEL

I’m sure you’ve heard of that timeless cliché that you can’t out-train a bad diet, but that doesn’t mean you must starve yourself and be deprived of the good, tasty and delicious things in life.

Most weight loss/gain journeys get derailed due to uncertainty of what you should be eating and how much of it. This is where my nutritional guidance comes in. I teach the basics: calories and how many calories to eat and burn in a day, also better habit creation for getting more protein, fruit and vegetables to assist your particular fitness goal.
